Some of the best dressed celebrities of the season are from Australia, such as Cate Blanchett, Elle Macpherson, Isla Fisher, Poppy Montgomery and many more. We can see a keen fashion since in all Australians, not just the celebrities. So what is hot in fashion this season?

Folk- Luxe is big in Australia this season. The look is a combination of gypsy style print on glorious silk, satin and faux fur fabrics. The colours are shades of royals and some earthy hues. The accessories feature an obvious tribal influence and hippie chic. You can see famous people parading this style such as Mischa Barton, Sienna Miller as well as Kate Moss. This winter, just through together some boots, skinny jeans and a faux fur hoody cape from David Jones to have fun with this look.

Pants this season are relaxed and slouchy. Try this style in grey to work well with all the other colours of your wardrobe. Match it with the shoes of your choice, no matter how tall you are, you will have the style and grace of Katherine Hepburn. Try the slouch pant from Jacqui with a Jay Jays jacket and your favorite shoes for around AUD$100.

The Sheath dress is one of the most versatile items of the winter fashion season. This style of dress in both flattering and sophisticated, therefore is will work well at night as well as in the daytime. Throw on a nice coat over the shoulders of this sleek, sleeveless dress or some bright gloves to add a dash of colour to this look. Stylists this season are finding one of the hottest items this winter season to be the biker jacket. Combine a sexy cropped biker jacket with a nice dress or short skirt; add some dangerously high heels or platform boots for a feminine yet sassy look. We can thank Grace Kelly and her award winning 1953 performance in "Mogambo", at least partly, for the Safari influence alive on the catwalks today. The look of the "African Safari" regularly returns to the fashion world. This style mixes the fine lines of military with comfortable casual for a look that is far more than flattering. Look for four-pocketed jackets, belts and pronounced buttons. Pick a colour that is neutral, khaki or brown in cotton, suede or leather. Add a shirtdress and some leather shoes with some nice accessories made of wood for a look that says adventure. Top this look off with a hobo bag from Strandbags for around AUD$30.
